WHAT A YEAR . . .
We've come through a war, an economic rebound and
Mel Gibson's "The Passion of Christ."
And now we are bombarded daily by election news that
suggests that this year's election could affect our country for
the next 100 years. At least that is what the liberals say
will happen if "that evangelical Christian" George Bush gets elected again.
His re-election would allow him to select two Supreme Court Justices and
to load other federal courts with "religious conservatives."
While all this goes on, the church seems to be at a
crossroads. Will we continue as a "soft-message" subgroup living below
the radar while evil surrounds us? Or, will we awaken to the spiritual
warfare that is our fate? Will we opt for politics or those weapons
that "are not carnal?"
I am reminded of Aragorn's plea to King Theoden in The
Lord of the Rings film, The Two Towers. Theoden
refused to arm his people for fear of offending the dreaded enemy Sauron.
Aragorn warned him, "Open war is upon you, whether you would risk it
or not."
The battle rages. We cannot duck. We have been chosen.
We will be protected. Our Lord has promised victory over
His enemies. But we must choose to arm ourselves and fight, or face the prospect
of going to heaven shot full of holes.
Leadership Advantage: Make Way for The King will
help arm you and those you love for real, ground-level, prayer warfare. Not
the goofy kind that you read about in some books. But the real stuff where
every member is a minister. You won't learn a pulpit-led show that turns
off so many, but an "everybody plays" approach to signs
and wonders like you read about in the Book of Acts.
I hope to see you there,
Ralph Moore
